Gabi Ashkenazi, the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Israeli government’s policy has shifted from annexation to normalization. “We left the door open for our neighbors. Now it’s up to their decision and their choice to join” he said. He also called on the Palestinians to return to the negotiating table.
