Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz met with the leaders of the Israeli settlers to persuade them to accept the annexation plan, for which they announced their rejection last week in a statement issued by the leaders of the major settlers. “We will always work in full cooperation with the Americans … I would like to emphasize here that the United States is our best friend in the world,” Gantz said, stressing the strong friendship between Israel and the United States of America.
