The Governor of Salfit, Abdullah Kmail, informed the ambassadors of seven countries from South America, namely: Chile, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, about the settlement activities taking place in the Salfit Governorate. He also explained the negative repercussions of the apartheid wall, settler attacks, and the violations of the occupation army in most of the governorate’s towns and villages. Kmail called for international protection of the Palestinian people against the practices of the Israeli government and settlers. In turn, Maher Taha, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the State of Palestine, said that the violations that we have seen against the Salfit Governorate are grave. “We have a strong relationship with the Palestinian leadership and the Palestinian people, and since the era of the former Venezuelan president and the current president, we have been supportive of the just rights of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and the establishment of their state”, Taha added.
