The International Committee of the Red Cross has announced it will organize a local competition for research writing in Arabic on international humanitarian law. The competition targets law students in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. The aim of the competition is to involve law school students in Palestinian universities in the relevant international law discussions, and to provide an academic platform for legal debate. The competition targets third and fourth year law students law at a Palestinian university. The focus of the competition is on the protection of medical missions in armed conflicts.
