In Vol. 49 No. 4, Summer2020, the Journal of Palestine Studies published a review of the book “The ABC of the OPT: A Legal Lexicon of the Israeli Control over the Occupied Palestinian Territory”, a joint publication published in 2018 by Orna Ben-Naftali, Michael Sfard, and Heidi Viterbo. This book highlights the role of different legal mechanisms, standards, and concepts in shaping, legitimizing, and responding to the Israeli system of control.
