The Israeli Attorney General has published the initial legal position of the State of Israel regarding the recent decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on its territorial jurisdiction over the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Among other reasons, the statement called the ICC decision legally void, claiming it does not have jurisdiction over the Palestinian territory since only sovereign states are eligible to delegate criminal jurisdiction to the court, a criteria the Palestinian territories allegedly lack.
