The Palestinian MOFAE said that family reunification is a right to Palestinian families is ensured under international law and is not an unmerited favour of the Israeli occupation. Denying thousands of Palestinians family reunification is a violation of their human rights to health care, education, movement, right of abode, identity, and living with their families. The Ministry circulated to the State of Palestine embassies on the need to intensify their efforts to highlight this humanitarian issue; continue to convey the suffering of those affected to all governments, parliaments, and human rights and civil society organizations in the host countries; request them to take international positions to pressure Israel to enable the Palestinian people to have their right to “family reunification.” For further details, click here
