The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU), Shaher Saad, announced that the report issued by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), which included a neutral presentation of many violations and crimes against Palestinian workers, will be added to the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) file for monitoring the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. In its conclusion, the report stated that the continued Israeli occupation of Palestine and the building of illegal settlements were the root causes for the plight of Palestinian workers, who depended on Israel for their livelihoods and support for their families. This is not in line with the duties of the occupying State in accordance with the rules and provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which obliges the occupying Power to provide safe employment opportunities for citizens of the occupied territories.
