Adalah monitored a request by 475 Israeli lawyers from members of the Israeli Bar Association for the IBA not to submit a “legal note” to the Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court to claim that the court does not have jurisdiction over Palestinian territories or Israel. Lawyers described the IBA decision is strictly political in motive and intended to support the Israeli government’s positions entrenching the occupation.
