Taysir Khalid, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, called for rejecting the Israeli request to send updates on the Palestinian population registry to the Civil Administration of the Israeli Army, in accordance with the decisions of the National Council and the Central Council considering the Palestine Liberation Organization and the State of Palestine in a dissolution of all the agreements with the American and Israeli sides and the obligations they entail. This came in response to a recent request by the occupation authorities and its Civil Administration of the Israeli army to the Palestinian Authority to provide it with updates to the Palestinian population registry, as stipulated in the agreements signed between the two sides for harmonization with the Israeli information systems and in order to provide various services to the Palestinian population, according to the occupation. Palestine had stopped direct civil and security coordination with the Israeli occupation and stopped reporting birth and death cases, and new identity cards and passports for Palestinian citizens and others.
