The public prosecutor in Israel demanded the most severe punishment possible for a convicted Jewish settler for killing a Palestinian couple and their child in an arson attack that also terrorized their four-year-old son for life. The prosecution asked the Lod District Court to sentence Amiram Ben-Uliel to three life imprisonment sentences for setting fire to the home of the Dawabsha family in the occupied West Bank village of Duma in July 2015. Ben-Uliel was confessed to the crime three times last month, two crimes of attempted murder, and two crimes of arson, conspiracy to commit a racially motivated crime.
