The Palestinian Bar Association sent a legal memorandum to the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, on the numerous violations and crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces. It demanded the UN to uphold its legal responsibilities towards them. The memorandum also included all the war crimes and massacres committed by Israel against Palestinian civilians, especially the acts of killing and genocide taking place, to date, in the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, it included the ongoing violation to the holy sites and the adaptation of the Israeli judiciary to serve the settlement projects, as in the current events in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem. The memorandum is part of the series of legal steps initiated by the Bar Association with Arab and international union partners to document Israeli war crimes, leading to the prosecution of the occupying power and the Israeli war leaders before the international and domestic courts of States.
