The Palestinian Ministry of Education confirmed that the topics covered in the Palestinian curriculum was and remains an exclusively sovereign matter. It is closely related to the Palestinian identity and the national narrative. The Ministry stressed that the decision on any of the curricula components will remain nationally independent based on national constants and reference documents for the Palestinian curriculum in line with international charters and covenants. It pointed out that the government has approved a program aimed at increasing national self-financing of education. This comes in the context of the Israeli escalation through its lobbying groups against international funding in a form of systematic warfare against Palestinian curricula and its pillars.
