The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that “the international silence towards the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah is unacceptable and unjustified,” especially as it encourages the occupation state to commit more violations and crimes against the Palestinian people. The Foreign Ministry condemns this attack and considered it a “blatant violation” of international law and international humanitarian law, and a “crime against humanity” according to the Geneva Conventions, which calls for “an international response that fits the scale of this aggression against hospitals and health centers, especially in light of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.” The ministry also condemned the brutal bombardment against the residents of the Gaza Strip, and the “acts of vandalism” carried out by settlers in several areas of the West Bank.
