The Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Minister Riyad Mansour, sent three letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council for this month (United Kingdom), and the President of the United Nations General Assembly on the escalation of the illegal policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem. Mansour said in his letters that the reason behind this escalation is the absence of international accountability, and he appealed to the Council to take measures to ensure respect for international law and implement its decisions on the Palestinian issue, including ending the Israeli occupation.
