The Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) “Ombudsman’s Office” issued a special report on the direct and indirect effects of the ongoing Israeli military aggression on persons with disabilities in the Gaza Strip. According to the commission, the issuance of this paper aims to publicise the reality of persons with disabilities during the current Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip and monitor the violations they are exposed to, especially in light of the excessive use of force by the Israeli occupation forces. The paper came out with a set of recommendations including, inter alia, the necessity to have a map of the persons with disabilities’ residences in the Gaza Strip, the means of communication with them and appropriate places for their gathering during wars and crises, the necessity to allocate suitable places for individuals with disabilities, in the effort of keeping them away from harm in the future.
