The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) held a conference on the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, entitled: “The Humanitarian Conditions in Gaza Post-IOF Aggression.” Experts have warned of difficult humanitarian conditions for the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip, especially following the recent Israeli aggression and the continued closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing by the Israeli occupation authorities. The conference recommended the need to provide international protection for civilians from Israeli aggressive actions, and to provide protection for basic services and infrastructure facilities from deliberate targeting, which exacerbates the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. The PCHR called for a serious investigation into the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians, including medical and civil defence crew. Moreover, the PCHR called for holding accountable war criminals who used excessive force and prohibited weapons under the rules of international humanitarian law and to bring them to international courts.
