The Israeli High Court, represented by a body of three judges: Judge Neal Hendel, Judge Yitzhak Amit, and Judge David Mintz, on Tuesday morning, August 25, extended the deadline granted to the Israeli government to present its response on the detention of the body of martyr Ahmed Erekat without constitutional authority and in violation of the law until the third of next September. This extension came after the issuance of a precautionary order by the High Court on July 21. According to that order, it was necessary to file a claim justifying the detention or release of the body of the martyr Ahmed Erekat within 14 days, and then the extension was extended again to the state, and this order came after Adalah submitted a petition in the name of Erekat family to free the detained body.
