The United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, announced its intention to hold a virtual event titled, “The Impact of Settlement Policies on the Palestinian Population in Jerusalem.”
The event aims to raise awareness about the ongoing settlement expansion, human rights violations, and demographic changes that threaten the presence of Palestinians in the city. Speakers will discuss the legal practices, economic activity, and legislative efforts related to settlements, followed by a question and answer session.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM New York time.
