Adalah sent a letter to Israeli Public Security Minister Amir Ohana, and Israel Prison Service (IPS) Chargé d’Affairs Asher Vakni,  demanding to overturn the minister’s decision not to provide vaccination against COVID-19 for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons and not to violate their health and human rights, as happened throughout the period of COVID-19 outbreak since the beginning of the year. In its letter, Adalah emphasized that the right to obtain medical care for the prisoners is a right guaranteed in international law and in human rights charters and international treaties that Israel has signed and is bound to implement.
