The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MOFAE) condemned the demolition of a number of houses in occupied Jerusalem, which resulted in the displacement of about 40 citizens, in addition to the demolition of a number of commercial establishments in Ya’bad and Arraba in the Jenin governorate, and the continuous leveling of lands in Kisan village, east of Bethlehem, for the purposes of settlement expansion. The Ministry said that the repercussions of these crimes are serious on security and stability in the region and on the chances of achieving peace on the basis of the principle of the two-state solution. It added that, since 1948, the Israeli occupation authorities have not stopped targeting the Palestinian presence through a policy of mass demolition. The Ministry further called on the international community and the United States of America to follow a firm and unified policy with regard to international issues that involve grave human rights violations.
