The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs stated that the 20 Palestinian prisoners held in Section 1 of the Israeli “Damon” prison suffer from very poor living conditions and that the administration of the prison intentionally neglects their detention conditions. It also explained that the aforementioned section is not suitable for human life, and minors are kept in rooms without ventilation and lighting, and it smells bad, full of insects and rats, bathrooms are inside the rooms and without doors, and the administration of the prison deprives them of hot water. The statement added the situation is dangerous for the lives of these minor prisoners especially with the spread of the COVID-19, as a result of the constant contact with the guards.
