The International Conference on Israeli Violations against Palestinian Women: Reality and Solutions in Light of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda was held in Ramallah and Gaza, under the title: “Palestinian Women and the Application of Security Council Resolution (1325): Protection and Accountability in the Context of Absence of International Will.” The final statement of the conference stressed that the suffering of Palestinian women and girls is caused by the continuation of the occupation, its crimes and violations, its widespread and systematic policies, and the racist measures that perpetuate the apartheid regime, which is considered a major reason for depriving the Palestinian people of exercising their inalienable rights. The conference also concluded several points, most notably – the international community’s call to support Palestinian refugee women in all their places of residence, and to enhance their exercise of their rights in all areas of life, and to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA”, especially in light of the crisis they are facing, and pressure on Israel to return refugees and displaced Palestinians, especially women and children, to their homes and property, in compliance with relevant United Nations resolutions, in particular Resolution No. 194.
