Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) has published a report entitled “Battling COVID-19 in the occupied Palestinian territory” which highlights the impact of the ongoing Israeli blockade in Gaza on the public health. The organization pointed out that an insufficient amount of equipment needed to treat COVID-19 in the occupied Palestinian territory is compounded by poor public health conditions: a water and electricity crisis, rampant poverty, and a high population density.
