The head of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, Nasser Abu Bakr, said that PJS monitored 420 Israeli violations against journalists in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Jerusalem during the year 2020. We recorded 106 violations in Jerusalem, which indicates direct targeting to prevent covering the news, Abu Bakr said.  PJS filed a complaint in May and December of last year to the International Criminal Court and the United Nations human rights special rapporteurs against Israeli violations of journalists, he added. The member of the Secretariat at the PSJ and the chairman of the Committee of Freedoms the journalist Mohammed al-Lahham said that 200 violations were monitored on the “Facebook” website, concerning the press situation between banning, blocking and closing, on the collusion between the occupation system and Facebook.
