A master’s student and researcher at the Palestinian An-Najah National University recently published his thesis entitled “Criminal Proceedings in the International Criminal Court (ICC) System Problematic Procedure and Double Standard Policy: The Case of Palestine.” Ahmed dealt with the subject of the criminal proceedings submitted for consideration before the ICC; the complexities and problems it faces in light of what is imposed by the Court regime; and the specific procedures it requires to follow. He also addressed the historical course of the emergence of this section of the law, with its substantive and procedural rules, in addition to the accession of the State of Palestine to the Rome Statute, and the consequent legal procedures to prosecute those who committed crimes against the Palestinian people amid double standards, imposition of hegemony, and the policy of the fait accompli.
