Researcher Dimitris Liakopoulos published a research article in the Public Security and Public Order Research Journal titled, “The Palestinian Question and the Role of the ICC.”
This article takes a look at the last ruling from the International Criminal Court (ICC) in February 2021 regarding the situation of Palestine. It examines and clarifies the answers to a series of questions regarding the roles of the Prosecutor of the ICC, when a search for crimes should be initiated in the territory, the position of the pre-trial Chamber with relative sentences, and the fundamental notions of the international general law and of the international criminal justice.
