Head of the General Authority of Civil Affairs of the Palestinian Authority, Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh, said that the issue of “family reunion” is not only a humanitarian issue but also and foremost of a national character. He explained that Israel is collectively punishing the Palestinian people by refusing to open this file, and called on human rights and legal institutions to intervene and pressure Israel to open the file and respond to the Palestinian demands related to it.
