The Independent Permanent Commission for Human Rights of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its dissatisfaction with the continuing indiscriminate bombing by Israel, the ‘occupying power,’ that deliberately destroyed residential buildings, schools and economic facilities, as well as the killed more than 180 Palestinians until this statement was made, most of them women and children. The commission called for an immediate halt to the Israeli attacks, and for providing the necessary humanitarian and medical assistance to save the lives of victims from attacks, implementing the relevant Security Council and Organization of Islamic Cooperation resolutions that call for an end to the Israeli occupation and the realization of Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
