The researcher Daniela Huber at the Institute of International Affairs (IAI) published a paper entitled: “Equal Rights as a Basis for Just Peace: a European Paradigm Shift for Israel/Palestine”. The researcher dealt with the historical development of the European Union’s role in interfering in the Middle East, especially in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Huber talked about the role of the European Union during the rule of Donald Trump in influencing the conflict and the expected shifts in the position of the European Union with the advent of Biden to power. The study dealt with the racial discrimination practiced by Israel against the Palestinians, which the B’Tselem report focused on, describing this discrimination as apartheid. The study further dealt with the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and the need for equal rights.
