The Palestinian Authority announced the extension of the state of emergency in the Palestinian territories an additional month to limit the spread of Coronavirus. President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decree declaring the state of emergency “again” for thirty days, starting from the dawn of May 5th. Despite the extension of the state of emergency, the PA has eased restrictions imposed to limit the spread of the virus, in particular reducing restrictions on movement between cities and preparing a program to open shops.
