Ghada Alrayan, Law for Palestine’s coordinator in Geneva, has participated in the launch event of the landmark report “Israeli Apartheid: Tool of Zionist Settler Colonialism” organized by Al-Haq’s “Law in the Service of Man”. The event was a hybrid one taking place at Al-Qattan Foundation in Ramallah and via Zoom on November 30, 2022.

Alrayan shared her personal story as a Palestinian refugee highlighting the impact of the right to return on her life. She further highlighted the court process she went through on the recognition of Palestinian refugees as stateless persons in Switzerland.

The event was kicked off by a keynote address by Mr. Shawan Jabarin, general director of Al-Haq, to be followed by the speech of Madam Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine. In addition, the event hosted 3 panels consisting of different Palestinian partner organisations. In addition to Alrayan, the panels were attended by key contributors and researchers who have contributed to the report as well as civil society organizations that provided their input to the report.
