Peace Now – the Settlements Unit, issued a press release denouncing the approval of the Supreme Planning Council of the Israeli Civil Administration to build 4,948 new settlement units. The organization expressed its regret that Israeli settlement activity has increased dramatically since the US administration showed less pressure against settlement expansion, and Israeli domestic politics have correspondingly pushed for more activity.
