The investigation unit “Mahash” of the Israeli Ministry of Justice announced that it had decided to refer the Police officer who killed the 32-year-old young man, Iyad Hallaq, with autism, in late May, to trial on charges of “reckless fatality.” Warda Abu Hadid, the young Iyad’s mentor, told Israeli media that she told the police officers that Iyad was disabled and could not understand their orders, but they ignored her despite her repeated shouting, “I am with him, I am with him,” according to her testimony.
