The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the occupation authorities’ transfer of tens of thousands of dunams of Palestinian lands in the Jordan Valley into what is called a “natural reserve”, pointing to the main and real reason behind the transfer, which is the gradual annexation of the Jordan Valley to expand the illegal Israeli settlements. The Ministry emphasized that the aforementioned annexation operations come in the context of the “deal of the century”, and deepen and expand in light of the processes of normalization and suspicious international silence, and the ongoing violations of the right of the Palestinian people, especially farmers. The ministry also said that the international silence on these violations is an expression of the international community’s abandonment of its legal and moral obligations towards the Palestinian people and their rights. The ministry stressed that what is required is to deter the occupying power by imposing international sanctions on it that force it to withdraw from its settlement projects, gnaw it and Judaize the land of the State of Palestine.
