In the 83rd cabinet session, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh warned of unprecedented dangerous developments in the “Israeli colonial project.” Shtayyeh said in his speech at the beginning of the session: “It seems that there is an escalating and intense attack plan for the next ten weeks to impose a new fait accompli before Donald Trump leaves the White House.” Shtayyeh considered that the visit that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo intends to make to the “Psagot” settlement on Al-Bireh lands next week is a further violation of the rights of the Palestinian people, and stressed that it will not give any legitimacy to the settlements, calling on the world to stand before this visit.
