The South African Journal on Human Rights is inviting submissions from researchers and activists interested in publishing papers for its special issue titled “International Law, the Global South, and the Question of Palestine.”

This special issue aims to showcase recent legal initiatives undertaken by South Africa and other Global South states against Israel regarding its treatment of Palestinians, including allegations of genocide and apartheid.

The journal encourages activists and scholars to critically examine the persistent denial of Palestinian self-determination and the role of the Global South in addressing issues of colonialism and apartheid.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is April 30, 2024.
