A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Azzam al-Ahmad, said that Israel seeks to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque in time and place and open the door to religious war because it allows for a group of Israeli surveyors to survey and take measurements inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the police.
