On the occasion of marking 4 years since adopting the Resolution 2334 by the UN Security Council, which relates to settlements, the official Spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated that Israel is exploiting the state of international silence and the failure to implement international decisions related to the illegality of settlements, as it continues its settlement expansion in violation of international laws. He stressed that Resolution 2334 constituted a clear condemnation of Israel over its colonial settlement policies by the entire international community, including the USA. He explained that Israel responded to this decision by announcing more settlement projects and plans, and its concentration in occupied Jerusalem, and more demolitions and confiscation of land and displacement of Palestinian citizens, which led to the escalation of terrorist attacks by settlers against defenseless citizens throughout the West Bank.
