The Independent Commission for Human Rights concluded the annual training program for students of the Faculty of Police Sciences at Istiqlal University entitled “The Role of the Security Forces in Preserving Human Rights” was attended by 30 students from the police faculty at Istiqlal University in Jericho. The four-days training was varied and covered several topics,
including: combating torture in international agreements and national legislation, the national mechanism for the prevention of torture, fair trial guarantees, the role of the public prosecutor in oversight and accountability on human rights issues, oversight and accountability mechanisms, criminal offenses, disciplinary, and correctional, human rights and the use of force.
