The Norwegian Refugee Council said that Israeli forces and settlers carried out an average of 10 attacks per month on kindergartens, school students, employees, and facilities in the West Bank between January 2018 and June 2020. The council said in a statement that, over 30 months, there had been 296 attacks against education by Israeli forces. Or settlers and settlement security guards during 235 separate incidents, including raids by soldiers, harassment, arrest, and abuse of children in schools and checkpoints, shooting of children and preventing teachers and students from accessing schools, outright destruction of schools and confiscation of equipment, including funded by the Federation European and European governments. Israeli settlers also stormed schools, stoned school buses, and damaged and vandalized school property, especially in Nablus and Hebron, and Bedouin communities in Area C of the West Bank were particularly affected by these attacks.
